The iOptron SkyGuider Pro is a light weight portable EQ Mount. With a basic polar alignment using the built in scope you’ll be off taking pictures in no time at all. The SkyGuider Pro has a payload capacity of 11lbs making it ideal for small DSLR setups. It has 4 tracking speeds but so far I’ve only used the standard 1x speed. I did end up purchasing a second counterweight as a single one wasn’t quite enough for my setup. The SkyGuider Pro handled the second counterweight with ease. Next week I’ll be receiving a new guide scope and guide camera. Once they arrive I’ll test out the guide port.
